The Hill 2000 Neighborhood Association is embarking on a fundraising campaign to make The Hill Neighborhood Center a first class destination for residents and visitors. The effort is part of Hill 2000’s goal to raise $100,000 this fiscal year. Every donation puts the renovation effort closer to fruition.
Local architect and association board member, Liz Pulliam, has provided the renderings below to showcase the renovations planned for the Center. These renovations will afford Center archivist, LynnMarie Alexander, the opportunity to grow the collection of archived items more strategically and showcase the items in a museum-like manner. There is space planned for the actual archiving/digitizing process, and storage of items that are not currently on display. Additionally, a retail space has been carved out and will carry Hill specific items – a popular “ask” among visitors when they stop by the Center.
The fundraising campaign is an ongoing effort throughout the year and next. Renovations will begin in early 2025 and will continue in phases until plans are complete.
