Crime Victim Response

Questions arise after a crime. Victims and witnesses often ask: Who do I call?  What information do I need? What happens after I make my report? When in doubt, be proactive and immediately report a concerning situation to the police. After the initial report, be persistent. And, of course, be patient as law enforcement and the Circuit Attorney do their respective jobs. The following chart contains answers to these questions and more, including your rights when you’re a victim of a crime and contact information for the agencies and individuals with answers to your questions.
