We cannot keep Spring from coming. It is the time of plans and projects and clean up! What a wonder and beauty Spring is with all of the lovely gardens to discover in our neighborhood. If you ever need a view, just check out Tracy Duchinsky’s Facebook page, she sees the wonder on The Hill every day and shares it with the community. Thank you, Tracy!
With clean up in mind, the Neighborhood Association has its annual Earth Day & Neighborhood clean-up day on April 20th. Please join us with your family to clean up part of the neighborhood. We will meet at 9 am in Berra Park. From there, volunteers will fan out into the neighborhood for a morning of service and beautification (Alleys, sidewalks, streets, and public spaces will all be targeted). Tools, gloves, and trash bags will be provided by Operation Brightside. As well, most importantly, BBQ and refreshments will be provided after the clean up! Come, join us for this great annual event from 9:00 – 12:00 on April 20th. It’s a great and easy way to support the community. While this could easily change, right now, it looks like a beautiful, clear day!
Also, the city is hosting an electronics recycling event on April 27. The Garden is starting to bloom; I see it out my window. Stop by and visit everything in bloom. Remember Wednesday and Saturday mornings are free, until noon, for city and county residents!
